Hi,
I'm new to SAXS. I have this problem all the time when I tried to calculate the theoretical SAXS curve from X-ray model with Crysol and compare with Experimental data.

Here is the message:
#
-------- Radii of gyration [angstroms] ----------

It was not possible to evaluate Rg from the experimental curve

#

The data was processed by Foxtrot. There was reasonable Rg values given by this software. But Crysol cannot calculate the Rg.

Does anyone know the reason for this? Does it have something to do with data format complicity or rather the Data itself ?

Thanks very much!

Did you cut the bad data points at the beginning that do not behave according to the Guinier law?

It might be more convenient to use AUTORG to find the Guinier Rg from experimental data automatically or PRIMUS QT (SAS Data Analysis > Radius of Gyration) to do it interactively.
