Q: How do I install a particular program from the ATSAS suite?
A: ATSAS is installed as a package where all programs, libraries and manuals are included. Academic users can download Windows, Linux and Mac installers for free. After a simple authentication you will find following files:
  • atsas-2.x.y-cu.msi - Windows installation package (single user version).
    atsas-2.x.y-lm.msi - Windows installation package (machine-wide installer).
atsas-2.x.y-z.dmg - MacOs 10.5.x installation package, Intel based.
    atsas-2.x.y-z.i686.rpm - Any Intel platform, 32bit, RPM-based package manager.
atsas-2.x.y-z_i386.deb - Any Intel/AMD platform, 32bit, Debian based package manager.
    atsas-2.x.y-z.x86_64.rpm - Any Intel/AMD platform, 64bit, RPM-based package manager.
atsas-2.x.y-z_amd64.deb - Any Intel/AMD platform, 64bit, Debian based package manager.
Where x is the minor release number, y the bugfix release and z the re-packaging number of a particular 2.x.y release.

As a rule of thumb, always get the larger numbers from left to right.
