How to reduce data points correctly in SAXS scattering data?

Interactive and automated data processing tools (PRIMUS, GNOM, AUTORG).
Scattering from simple bodies (BODIES), peak analysis (PEAK), data plotting (SASPLOT) etc.

How to reduce data points correctly in SAXS scattering data?

I need to reduce data points to fifht of original in my SAXS data that I can run it in one program. I have tried to reduce data points by taking only every fifht point or by taking only first couple hundreds points. This doesn't seem to work. What would be the right way to reduce data points from SAXS scattering data? Without losing any information (curve's right form etc.) from the data?

Try datregrid. E.g.

Code: Select all

datregrid --join 3 file.dat
will join every 3 points by averaging.

To reduce the data q range use datcrop.
