Parameter to inform quality of the fitting for a Pair distance distribution to raw data

#1 Post by EduardoBruch » 2020.08.10 14:14

Hello all,
I am preparign a figure with the the Pair distance distribution function in which I want to inlcude the pair distance distribution per se and also the fitting (middle and left pannel in the attached figure respectively). The fitting looks very good but I was wondering if there is a parameter that I can include that will represent the quality of the fit showed in the left panel

CorMap p-value and Chi-squared value

Open your .out file in PRIMUS, uncheck the third curve. Click Processing > Data Comparison. You will get the CorMap Test p-value (Franke et al. 2015) and the reduced Chi-squared value.

Thanks Al,
Indeed I managed to get the CorMap test p-value and the reduced Chi-sq value (attached image). Which one will be best to inform?
Also I noticed that the Chi-sq is lower than one so I a ot sure I a not over-interpreting.
Thanks again for your help!
Bests
