Hi! I am new to SAXS and I have difficulties to start processing my data. Main problem is that I haven't done this before and I am not sure what to do and how to start. I was hoping to find some online tutorials about ATSAS software (step-by-step guide with example data), but I didn't find any. Is there any?

I know that I should use PRIMUS. I need to know Radius of Gyration and Dmax (at least now). I have a Windows installation of ATSAS 2.8.2. and I can find program called "SAS Data Analysis". I think this program has also name "primusgt". I found manual for this program -> https://www.embl-hamburg.de/biosaxs/manuals/primus.html. This is incomplete? Example is missing at the end? Is there more comprehensive manual for this "primusgt".

I also found program called "primus" from my Windows installation. Is this "older primus"? This one has more comprehensive manual -> https://www.embl-hamburg.de/biosaxs/man ... us-qw.html. Should I use this primus or SAS Data Analysis?

I have also found that you have old lecture materials at your webpage (https://www.embl-hamburg.de/biosaxs/courses/embo2016/). These are helpful, but they don't teach how to use ATSAS.

I found out that there is another software to analyse SAXS data. This is called BioXTAS RAW and it's webpage is here -> http://bioxtas-raw.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html. They have really good tutorial with example data. Also, they have videos how to use software.

When I studied how to use BioXTAS RAW, I also learned how to use ATSAS. So, if someone else have problems in the very beginning, you can start with BioXTAS RAW and then use ATSAS.

Dear colleague,

I am in a similar situation, but my objects are nanopowders, nanowires of inorganic nature. SAXS data are collected from solids.

If you just could suggest a corresponding software for that, it would be nice. I would be grateful in sooth!
