I had compared SAXS data to a PDB a couple of years ago within Chimera; with the same PDB file now, using both Chimera or the FoxS web server I get a significantly better fit. Does anybody knows whether this is likely to be due to a new version of FoxS, or to a different choice of default parameters?
recently a new version of FoxS was published, where water (hydration layer) is taken to accountusing both Chimera or the FoxS web server I get a significantly better fit.
during fitting (if i remember it correctly). That might be the reason.
