SAXS intensity at the low and high q region

#1 Post by Yulin323511 » 2020.05.09 14:53

I am studying interpreting the SAXS intensity at different q regions. My sample is a powder and I got the scattering profiles as in the attachment.
My teacher told me the scattering intensity of high and low q regions are strongly related to the packing density of the sample, i.e., how much sample is in the beam.
But I could not find relevant literature for that statement. Does anyone know which literature, like books and reviews, proposed that theory?
Thank you very much! :D :D :D

the high q region is from 1 to 1.2 nm-1 and the profiles at different temperatures are overlapping.
